​ Everyone begins at one end of the rink; the traffic controller will stand at the opposite end. On the whistle, everyone will skate slowly toward the other end of the rink, the traffic controller will signal with their arms: left - for the skaters to skate to the left, right - for the skaters to skate to the right, stop - to halt the skaters, up - skaters are to jump up off the floor, be sure to bend at the knees when you land to absorb impact, down - for the skaters to fall.
