Skating Posture

Start with a proper squat by hinging your hips so that your butt moves backwards; your knees do not protrude well over your toes. Use a straight head position (never look down). Chest out and shoulders back with spine in proper alignment. Slightly arch the lower back, knees slightly bent, and toes pointed slightly outwards. The depth to aim for is hamstrings parallel with the floor. Swing your arms fluidly.
